The Territorial Sportsmen Scholarship Foundation, Inc. (TSSF) currently offers three types of scholarships:
Two-year associates ($6,000) and four-year bachelor’s degree ($12,000) undergraduate scholarships to graduating Juneau-area high school seniors; and
A one-year scholarship for vocational-technical, certificate and occupational endorsements of up to $3,000 is offered to any resident of Southeast Alaska.
TSSF awards scholarships to students who support the goals and objectives of the Territorial Sportsmen, Inc., without regard to an applicant’s intended field of study. Territorial Sportsmen actively promotes conservation and maintenance of healthy fish and wildlife popula¬tions and their habitats; works for fair and equitable fishing and hunting rights for sportsmen and sportswomen; promotes and maintains friendly and respectful relations between sportsmen/women and State, Federal, and private landowners; educates people in fish and wildlife conservation; and promotes adherence to hunting and fishing regulations and firearms safety.
Applications are due on the last Monday in March. As part of the selection process, interviews will be held on the third Tuesday in April. Undergraduate scholarships are available at the high school’s career counselor’s office or by request at the address below. The vocational/technical scholarship application can be found below.
